The global onset of COVID-19 is surreal and deeply impacts us all on so many levels.
I hope are taking time for yourself to get connected in your body and feel the emotions that are of course going to come up during this period of uncertainty. Let me assist you in moving through those emotions with creative physical movement and expression.
I imagine for many of you, your regular exercise classes and gyms have closed, but that is no reason to stop exercising. Since we can’t make it to the gym or studio for private sessions or classes right now, I have been restructuring the studio around all of our needs in an effort to assist you in a personalized way. I have several ways for us to keep the momentum going with the strength and flexibility you have already built in your body.
Hi there! I am Kerri Affronti and I am so pleased you’ve landed here! Welcome to a brief overview of what I do. Below you’ll learn about my expertise; how I work with different types of clients for their own unique needs; and how we together can bring you to the “you” that you love, starting now!
First and foremost, both clients and teachers of movement therapy come to me because I have spent two decades focusing upon how and why problems originate in the body. Over the course of that time, I have carefully developed nuanced movement based healing routines that are customized for each unique client that incorporates. In other words — I provide what works for you! The goal of my work is joy in movement and exercise for everyone.
Specific outcomes are greater energy and enthusiasm for life that includes a long-term shift in positive health practices and a healthier connection to one’s body. For some clients, this includes positive metabolism changes, including desired weight loss/gain; improved immune function; greater adaptability to stress; and decreased moodiness, anxiety or depression levels. As well, working with me can lead to increased feelings of connection and well-being. Moreover, with many clients we have seen a significant lessening of physical symptoms such as: back pain; headaches; allergies; digestive problems; autoimmune disease expressions; chronic fatigue symptoms; sciatica; carpal tunnel and tennis elbow flare ups and so forth. In both my classes and private instruction you will: find freedom through movement and joint restrictions; move for your health; go beyond your current mobility limitations; and move in ways that show (give) you (a better way) how to better understand and heal your body. In those processes, we will find and address any number of body and mental framing limitations that come up as we go forward together.
I create those kinds of outcomes by way of a carefully guided step by step implementation of the most effective practices and techniques to date: The Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Methods, Pilates, Active Isolated Stretching, Syntropy Insight Bodywork, CranioSacral Therapy, Licensed Massage Therapy / Orthopedic Massage, Feldenkrais, Neurolinguistic Programming, Dance, Yoga, Qigong, and Meditation.

The result of working consistently on an individualized program tailored to address the client’s body concerns is a long-term shift in health, improved sleeping habits, and greater energy and enthusiasm for life

Gyrotonic method creator, Juliu Horvath, designed a specialized line of equipment around these natural movement patterns of the human body. Because Gyrotonic equipment is highly adjustable it can be customized to fit each person’s unique physique and ability; adapting for things such as height, arm and leg length and physical ability. When moving using Gyrotonic equipment, we are distributing forces equally on all sides of the joints.
